Anton Lehman started out considering becoming a gunsmith. He was drawn toward repairs and thought he would enjoy the satisfaction of a professional skill. But his path was changed when he met Daniel Bell. Daniel Bell, a luthier and builder of guitars and mandolins in his Buford, GA basement mentored Anton. When Daniel learned Anton was a cabinet maker and had many years of woodworking experience, he pressed Anton to also become a luthier. Anton attended bluegrass concerts with Daniel Bell and won a Gibson Banjo from a contest sponsored by Doyle Lawson and Gibson. That and attending the Nashville Bluegrass Awards with the Bells turned the tide. Anton studied under Daniel for several years before moving to Wyoming, where he has resided for over 20 years.
Anton is now a luthier of over 25 years experience that began with skills of woodworking in cabinet shops and bluegrass music in the hills of Georgia.
This Wyoming home based business offers personal luthier appointments or drop off, from simple strings to major restoration. Anton's is honored to be a Factory Warranty Repair Center for most major stringed instrument companies.
